Yook Sungjae and Joy Mimic the Boot Scene From "Descendants of the Sun"

Red Velvet’s Joy and BTOB’s Yook Sungjae have unintentionally recreated the famous boot scene from the mega-popular KBS drama, “Descendants of the Sun.”

On the March 26 episode of “We Got Married,” Yook Sungjae notices that Joy’s shoelaces are untied, and tries to stealthily tie them for her. However, Joy ends up tying them herself, completely missing Yook Sungjae’s attempt.

In his interview, Yook Sungjae admits, “I had intended to tie her shoes together because she left without a word, but she avoided it without even knowing it. She’s not the type to mess around, so she’s not looking for that kind of thing.”

However, 30 minutes later, Yook Sungjae does succeed in tying Joy’s shoes for her, properly this time. He tells her, “How do you live without me?” Many viewers have commented that this feels very similar to the scene in “Descendants of the Sun” where Song Joong Ki ties Song Hye Kyo’s boots for her, which has been the teaser image for the drama since before its premiere.

“We Got Married” airs every Saturday at 4:55 p.m. KST.
