Jang Hyuk in Talks to Play Neurosurgeon in New KBS2 Drama

Jang Hyuk might make his return to the small screen via an upcoming KBS2 drama entitled “Beautiful Mind.”

According to his agency sidusHQ, the actor been offered the lead role in the drama, but they have yet to make their final decision regarding the offer. As of now, nothing has been confirmed.

If Jang Hyuk decides to join the drama, this will mark his comeback after just three months since wrapping up “The Merchant: Gaekju 2015.”

Formerly referred to as “Dr. Frankenstein,” “Beautiful Mind” tells the story of Lee Young Oh, a cold but extremely talented neurosurgeon, who starts to show interest in love and humanity after his patients start dying in unusual ways. Lee Jong Suk and Yoo Ah In were previously in talks for the male lead, but both of them turned down the offers.

“Beautiful Mind” is expected to take over the time slot of Monday-Tuesday drama “Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul Ho” ends its run in mid-May.
