Lee Hi Says She Doesn't Understand YG's Management of Her Public Image

During a recent filming for KBS2TV’s “Happy Together 3,” Lee Hi opened up about her agency YG Entertainment’s approach to managing their artists’ public images, especially by limiting their variety show appearances.

The solo singer, who just dropped her new full solo album, explained that she would love to do more variety. “Honestly, I really want to make other people laugh. I hope to create lots of footage for the broadcast.”

Regarding YG’s management, Lee Hi candidly said, “I don’t get the reason why our company is trying to make me seem mysterious,” and laughed, “I’m not that kind of a person.”

She also named Lee Hyori as her variety role model, and expressed her genuine interest in pursuing more TV shows by saying, “If someone just offered me the opportunity, I would love to take on a host position.”

This episode of “Happy Together” is set to air on April 21 at 11:10 p.m. KST.
