Watch: Eric Nam Makes Solar Flustered With Parody Of Famous Drama Scene
The chemistry between Eric Nam and MAMAMOO’s Solar seems to become more tight-knit week by week!
On the June 4 episode of MBC’s “We Got Married,” Eric Nam makes his “wife”‘s heart flutter once again with a sudden kabedon, or “wall slam.”
During this episode, Solar attempts to cook for her “husband,” while he affectionately watches over her shoulder. He even proudly takes photos of her in action. However, as a first-time cook, she mistakingly leaves a frying pan without anything in it on high heat for too long, causing a burning odor.
At that moment, she says, “Doesn’t it smell like something is burning?,” which happens to be a famous line from a 2004 Korean drama, “Phoenix.” In the original drama, the complete monologue is, “Doesn’t it smell like something is burning? Right now, my heart is burning [for you].”
While Solar meant it literally, Eric Nam takes the opportunity to repeat those words to her, albeit in a more romantic way, while casually “kabedon-ing,” or “slamming the wall,” and gazing at her. Kabedon is a trend that started in Japan a couple years back, and is meant to be seen as a heart-fluttering gesture.
Meanwhile, Solar gets flustered by his actions and is unable to meet his eyes.
