Countless times, I have found myself wondering what life would be like if I was in the shoes of the heroine in a K-drama. The creative and ambitious authors of many fanfictions have made the fantasies of every fan girl into a reality that people all over the world can dive into.
Check out this list of my 9 favorite fanfictions that I think everyone should read! These stories are in no particular order.

Why You Should Read It: Unlike most fanfics where the main character is helpless and naive, Minseo knows exactly what’s going on with her situation as she carefully plans her revenge. This story has both an interesting plot that reveals itself more and more with each chapter as well as a heartwarming love line surrounded by the many individual stories of the different characters.

Description: When there are two sisters, one is bound to be not as pretty, not as interesting, not as attractive, not as everything. When two sisters are put together and you’re not the one who shines, what would happen?
Why You Should Read It: If you’re looking for a cute light read, this is the story to read. Although the plot line may seem cliche in the sense that the main heroine is the unattractive younger sister of the queenly older sister, as L falls in love with Lee Jaekyung, you realize more and more that ultimately, its not one’s physical appearance that matters!

Why You Should Read It: I absolutely love werewolf stories purely because I am a sci-fi geek and a hopeless romantic. However, many of the werewolf stories are featuring EXO. This fic was one of the few GOT7 fan-fictions that I couldn’t let go. It was refreshing having a male lead character refuse to be a part of the very traditions that keep him alive!

Why You Should Read It: This is definitely a story that made me tear up here and there. The relationship between Baekhyun, Chanyeol, and Joori (OC) is just so heart wrenching yet intriguing. If you’re looking for a reason to shed a tear, this is the story for you!

Description: Your dangerous life gets out of hand when seven boys who call themselves Block B enter your life. Not to mention your five overprotective older brothers.
Why You Should Read It: To this day, this story is one of my favorite fan-fictions. The interactions that Block B have as older brothers is hilariously adorable. dbskgirl4ever does a great job highlighting each character’s personality without losing focus on the main story line. Also, how can you say no to the one and only ZICO?

Why You Should Read It: Another dbskgirl4ever story! This story does a great job in bringing all of your favorite drama characters together. Hyun Bin from “Secret Garden” and Lee Dong Wook from “Scent Of A Women” are portrayed as your rich elite BFFs in this story. The author does a great job implementing parts of the actual drama into her own story too! So if you’re a fan of both “Secret Garden” and “Scent of A Women” and are craving to be a part of that elite world, I would totally recommend this story.

Why You Should Read It: The EXO fandom is definitely one of the most creative fandoms out there. When I first read this story, I was blown away by the creativity behind this plot line. The fact that EXO is portrayed as warriors that reside in trading cards was something I would never have thought of. Props to all the EXO fans who are so creative!

Why You Should Read It: This story is also has magical warriors being controlled by powerful masters. However, unlike Wynter’s story that focuses more on the friendships between the warriors and the masters, this story is more of a reverse harem plot line.

Why You Should Read It: I haven’t come across many BTS fanfics purely because the EXO fandom is so large and I end up usually reading whatever is in the most recent category. However, this story is one to remember! The mixture of humor and romance creates the perfect symphony that will have you chuckling to yourself. If you’re a big BTS fan, I would definitely put this story into my bookmarks!
