EXO's Chen Says He Will No Longer Accept Fan Gifts + Explains Why

EXO’s Chen announces he will no longer accept fan gifts, and hopes fans will no longer feel the need to.

On July 19, the singer posted a message on EXO’s official fan page, explaining why and how he came to make this decision.

After a cute opening message asking how EXO-Ls are doing, Chen gets to the heart of the matter and starts by saying that there are so many things the fans have done that he is thankful for, like being his strength and support.

Explaining how he’s grateful for all the presents that people send, he states that “the feelings [and intentions] of EXO-Ls are plenty enough,” and implies he will no longer accept gifts.

He continues, “You all may be disappointed, but somewhere along the way, I’ve become apologetic for all the gifts I’ve received. I want to say that I use every single present from the bottom of my heart, and want to show that to you all, but it’s not easy.”

Chen explains that he is also worried that someone may misunderstand if he only uses certain gifts, thinking that their own gift was not received or liked.

He reiterates, “I am thankful for every little thing, no matter how small, you give me, and I know these things are meaningful, which is why I’ve come to this conclusion!”

To conclude, Chen says that he can amply feel everyone’s feelings and “hearts” when he’s onstage, and when the fans cheer for them loudly. He ends with an encouraging message by saying, “So, please don’t feel sad, and please continue to be such good fans,” along with a heart emoticon.

Meanwhile, EXO will hold their third solo concert at Olympic Park Stadium, at the Gymnastics Arena, on July 22-24, and 29-31 KST.
