GFRIEND's Yuju Explains How She Broke Her Hand

After many of GFRIEND’s fans were worried when they saw Yuju recently wearing a cast on her right arm, Yuju has explained how she injured herself.

On August 4‘s episode of SBS Power FM‘s “2 O‘Clock Escape Cultwo Show,“ GFRIEND appears as a guest along with rapper Basick.

Naturally, the hosts ask Yuju how she ended up with a cast on her arm, and she explains that she fell off her bed. “I woke up in the night and it was too cold in the room, so I got up to turn off the air conditioner. I fell, and broke my hand,” she says with a laugh.

She adds, “Thankfully, I still turned off the air conditioner.”

Host Kim Tae Gyun jokes, “Your determination to turn off the air conditioner even though you broke your arm is really amazing.” Jung Chan Woo adds, “You must have been really cold!” as Yuju laughs.

Sowon also reveals that Yuju tends to talk in her sleep a lot, and once even seemed to be practicing choreography in her sleep because she suddenly yelled out, “Put energy all the way into your fingertips!”

She adds that Yuju also cries in her sleep, and Yuju says it’s true. Yuju cracks everyone up when she admits, “One day I dreamt that my mom had turned into a tomato, and I cried.”

As everyone is basically crying with laughter themselves, the hosts ask her, “Was her head a tomato, or was she totally a tomato?” Yuju clarifies, “She was a tomato!”

When asked how she knew it was her mom then, she replies, “She smelled like my mom. Anyone could have known it was my mom, but she was a tomato,” sending everyone into another wave of laughter.

GFRIEND most recently grabbed their tenth music show win for their latest track “Navillera” on “M!Countdown.”
