With all eyes on the Rio Olympics, the athletic pasts of several Korean stars are gaining attention once again.
While there are plenty of fit and athletic celebs, some celebs were serious athletes with Olympic potential.

Jota was a judo athlete until his last year of high school. His skills made him very popular on “Cool Kiz on the Block.”
The actress was a rhythmic gymnastics athlete from third grade to sixth grade. Known for being a fitness buff now, many aspire to have taut abs like Jeon Hye Bin.
Uee previously competed in nationwide swimming competitions. She showed off her swimming skills in shows like “Barefoot Friends,” “Law of the Jungle,” and more.
The actor won a bronze medal while competing as a swimmer during high school. From acting, modeling, rapping, and even swimming, So Ji Sub is really talented!
Song Hye Kyo trained as a figure skater while she was in elementary and middle school. The actress was able to benefit from this in later projects.
Likewise, Song Joong Ki was a short track speed skater in his elementary and middle school years. He also showed his skating skills in the drama “Triple.”
Jackson was a former national sabre fencer for the Hong Kong fencing team and ranked 11th in the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. Also, he won first place at the Asian Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships in 2011.
