Ryu Jun Yeol Joins Environmental Protection Campaign

Actor Ryu Jun Yeol’s active participation in a recent environmental campaign has become a hot topic.

On September 22, his agency C-Jes Entertainment released a statement, saying, “Ryu Jun Yeol joined Greenpeace in their environmental protection fundraising campaign for Naver titled ‘Happybean.'”

In commemoration of his birthday on September 25, Ryu Jun Yeol decided to participate in the campaign which raises awareness about the dangers of environmental pollution.

He said, “I think it is important that we realize the importance of protecting our environment and see that our small actions can become habits that can help. I have decided to participate in this campaign to show that we all need to raise our voices a bit louder to solve this problem.”

After filming “Youth Over Flowers” for tvN in Africa, Ryu Jun Yeol became more interested in animal protection and was involved with Greenpeace. In July, he wrote a letter to Huffington Post Korea that spoke of the dangers of plastic to the marine ecosystem.

Ryu Jun Yeol will hold a fan meeting on his birthday. Furthermore, his films “The King” and “Taxi Driver” is set to be released in theatres soon.
