tvN Denies Rumors Of Government Interference In 'SNL Korea' PD Change-Up

tvN has denied rumors that external pressure from the government played a hand in the change of producing directors (PD) for “SNL Korea.”

A representative of tvN stated, “PD Min Jin Ki will be leaving ‘SNL Korea’ because he has been put in charge of a new program. Rumors of external pressure from the Korean government in making this decision are false. Min Jin Ki’s program will be launched early next year. He had no choice but to leave ‘SNL Korea’ because of time constraints.”

They continued, “PD Kwon Sung Wook, who worked on ‘Birth of a Song,’ will be filling in for Min Jin Ki. PDs Kim Min Kyung and Kwon Sung Wook will take turns running the show.”

It was previously reported that Min Jin Ki’s departure from “SNL Korea” was due to external pressure from the government as Min Jin Ki was responsible for the many parodies of the recent Choi Soon Sil controversy.
