9 Things You Didn't Know About The "Hwarang" Cast
“Hwarang,” KBS’s new flower boy show, is about a group of very pretty warriors who lived during the Silla era. To get you all hyped up for the flower viewing show, here are some interesting facts about the cast of “Hwarang”!
1. Kim Tae Hyung (BTS’s V) was chosen by the other BTS members as the best rapper in the vocal line.
Can’t wait for “Cypher part 5 ft. V”!
2. Park Seo Joon is very close with SISTAR’s Hyorin.
The acting sphere and the idol industry have never been closer (this show alone has three idol actors!), and so it should come as no surprise that there are many close friends within both spheres. And one of these friendships is Park Seo Joon and SISTAR’s Hyorin! They starred in “Dream High 2” together, and when asked about Hyorin, Park Seo Joon replied, “She’s my diva. Hyorin is really the only friend I have that’s a girl. We’re close, so even my parents know her. They know about her appearances more than I do.” Future “We Got Married” couple?
3. Go Ara made her film debut in a Japanese-Mongolian film called “Genghis Khan: To the Ends of the Earth and Sea.”
She was chosen out of 40,000 other actresses!
4. Seo Ye Ji is a licensed sex education instructor.
She stated in a TV show that she wanted to have lots of children, and she wanted to be informed in order to properly teach her children.
5. Park Hyung Sik and Jo Yoon Woo were in “Heirs” together.
“Heirs” reunion! Whoop whoop! Pop quiz: Do you remember who they were in “Heirs”?
6. Minho’s father is a famous soccer manager.
The apple really doesn’t fall far from tree! It’s clear to see where Minho gets his famous athleticism (he was so swoony on “Dream Team”) and competitive nature.
7. Do Ji Han speaks Chinese fluently
His parents were against him becoming an actor. So he naturally did what any middle or high school student would do: rebel. As a result, his parents sent him abroad to China for two years. When he came back, and they asked him what he wanted to do with his life, he replied again that he wanted to act. Persistent guy, this one.
8. Seo Ye Ji can speak Spanish.
Before going into acting (her original goal was to become a news anchor), she studied journalism abroad for two years in Spain. At the red carpet for the 2013 Style Icon Awards, she showcased her Spanish skills.
9. Park Seo Joon once stated that he thought acting was a “lonely job.”
“In this industry, there is no one who will protect me [and look out for me]. I feel this is a lonely job. When I do well, I get a nod of approval, but when I don’t do well, they [the people who gave that nod] coldly turn their backs on you. That is the fate of the people who go into the acting industry, and honestly, sometimes, I feel like there is no one on my side. In the end, I’m the only one who can protect myself.”
