Cha Tae Hyun Reveals How He Felt Working With Jun Ji Hyun Again On "The Legend Of The Blue Sea"
Cha Tae Hyun was just as amazed as anyone that an onscreen reunion with his former “My Sassy Girl” co-star Jun Ji Hyun finally happened.
The actor made a guest appearance on the December 12 broadcast of SBS PowerFM’s “2 O’Clock Escape Cultwo Show” along with actress Kim Yoo Jung.
While talking about his cameo in episode four of SBS’s “The Legend of the Blue Sea,” he explained that he had a lot of fun filming with the actress.
“It was strange to think I would be appearing in the same shot as Jun Ji Hyun in 15 years. This is the first time I’ve made such a long [cameo] appearance. I didn’t think that I would ever film again with Jun Ji Hyun after ‘My Sassy Girl,'” the actor confessed.
In the cameo, Cha Tae Hyun played an amusing con man who tried to take advantage of Jun Ji Hyun’s unfamiliarity with the modern world. At one point, he even called her “bizarre,” a nod to the Korean title of “My Sassy Girl.”
He continued, “It was short, but I had a lot of lines despite it being just a cameo. I was pleased that I could film for a longer amount of time. It wasn’t awkward at all.”
