BTS's Suga Makes FUSE TV's "20 Best Mixtapes Of 2016" List With "Agust D"
“Agust D,” the first mixtape of BTS’s Suga, has been chosen as an entry for FUSE TV’s “THE 20 BEST MIXTAPES OF 2016” list.
The column began with, “In their three years together, the members of BTS have broken away from the squeaky-safe K-pop world with mixtapes that allow them a totally free avenue to explore new topics and sounds.”
FUSE TV then went on to praise Suga’s project as they added, “The band’s aggressive rapper Suga did this by adopting an entirely new persona, Agust D, through a tape that featured topics like his struggles with fame and depression.”
Suga’s “Agust D” was released in August, and was featured as a rising star by major US mediums like Billboard and FUSE TV, as well as by the US-based streaming site TIDAL.
The rapper’s music videos “Agust D” and “give it to me” were also listed in the “Top 10 most-watched K-pop music videos” August rankings in the US and worldwide, proving just how popular his mixtape was.
BTS’s second album “WINGS” was also featured in FUSE TV’s “THE 20 BEST ALBUMS OF 2016” list, with all of the songs in the album receiving high praise.
Congratulations to BTS’s Suga for the accomplishment!
