iKON Wins Best New Artist Award At Japan Record Awards
On December 30, iKON won the Best New Artist Award at the annual Japan Record Awards in Tokyo.
iKON is the third Korean artist to receive the Best New Artist Award at the Japan Record Awards, after Yang Soo Kyung in 1990 and BIGBANG in 2009.
iKON has spent much of 2016 touring Japan through concerts and along with labelmate WINNER are preparing for a comeback in early 2017.
Yang Hyun Suk congratulated the boy group on his personal Instagram, posting a message through hashtags and a video of the ceremony. In the video, the boys can be seen celebrating the announcement of their win.
