Winners of the 2016 SAF SBS Drama Awards
The 2016 SAF SBS Drama Awards was held on December 31 to celebrate the greatest actors and productions of the year.
The Grand Prize Award went to Han Suk Kyu, who is the leading man of the hit drama “Romantic Doctor Kim.” Interestingly, he had won the same award five years ago with the drama “A Tree with Deep Roots.” The actor gave a thought provoking speech with statements like, “We should not feel discomfort from things that are different. We should overcome that discomfort with understanding and acceptance. I believe that we cannot come together as a society if we see things that are different as dangerous.”
“Romantic Doctor Kim” was the big winner of the night, with a total of seven awards to its name. Other dramas that were highlighted included “Doctors,” “The Legend of the Blue Sea,” and “Jealousy Incarnate.”
