Cha Tae Hyun Talks About The Reason For His Many Cameos And The Pressure From The Media

In promoting his new film “Because I Love You” (directed by Joo Ji Hong), actor Cha Tae Hyun recently sat down for an interview to talk about his many cameos, his relationship with his wife, and the ensuing pressure he feels from the media.

Cha Tae Hyun recently made high-profile cameos in “Moonlight Drawn By Clouds” and “The Legend of the Blue Sea.” He said, “I think it’s because people around me request me to make an appearance. Especially in variety, there are lots of producers who are making their directorial debut who ask me to appear. It’s a lot of work so I won’t appear as an official cast member, but just for the pilot or a single episode is okay.”

Cha Tae Hyun has previously appeared on JTBC’s “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,” where he showed off his wife’s amazing cooking skills. The story of how he and his wife met, as former classmates and first loves who eventually got married, have received a lot of attention in the media.

“Everyone wrote nice articles about it, but I felt burdened,” he revealed. “It’s burdensome when the press packages you in a certain way. My wife and I have been friends since we were young and it just feels natural. We’re like friends.”
