Watch: SHINee's Minho Surprises Unsuspecting Fan During Hidden Camera Prank
The SHINee members are always so sweet to their fans!
Member Minho recently asked MC Tak Jae Hoon to help him show his gratitude to someone special on the January 11 broadcast of “My Last 48 Hours” (tentative title).
As the premise of the show is what you would do if you only have 48 hours left to live, Minho explained that he would want to spend time with his family and fans. Since it was difficult to suddenly put on a concert or hold a fan meeting, he requested the show to help him instead meet at least one fan.
The idol and Tak Jae Hoon prepared to surprise a fan at the restaurant she worked at through a hidden camera prank. While Minho acted as a cameraman, they planned on filming her by claiming it was for another show Tak Jae Hoon was the MC of, “Life Bar.”
They interviewed her, and asked, “Who is your favorite group?” As expected, she said it was SHINee, and that her favorite member was Minho.
Tak Jae Hoon then requested she leave a video message for SHINee while Minho was still filming her, dressed to cover his face. Eventually, his hat and mask were pulled off, shocking the fan.
Overwhelmed with emotion, she began to cry at the unexpected surprise. Prompted by the MC, she relayed what she wanted to say most to him. “You’ve worked hard, filming your movie and drama when it’s hot and cold outside-,” she started before breaking out into tears again.
Later during an interview, Minho explained, “I think celebrities and fans are like two sides of a mirror. I am a reflection what my fans are like and the fans are a reflection of what I am like…I was really touched when she was [emotional] like that.”
While talking to her one-on-one, Minho questioned what she would want to do if she only had 48 hours. She shyly answered, “I would go see SHINee. I’m the happiest when [I’m watching] SHINee,” and made Minho laugh at her truthful reply.
