BTOB's Yook Sungjae To Showcase His "Fish Whisperer" Side In New SBS Pilot Show

It has been revealed why BTOB’s Yook Sungjae agreed to appear in SBS’s Lunar New Year pilot show “Clench Your Fist and Blow The Boat Horn” (literal title).

Yook Sungjae’s love for fishing is well-known, having been the first idol star to appear on the “Fishing TV” channel. Through his appearance on the channel, he showcased his fishing skills and excelled in both precision and distance. He even boasted about his catch of the day by posting a photo on his personal social media account.

PD Lee Young Jun stated, “We knew we wanted to invite Yook Sungjae on the show, but he’s been busy these days with scheduled activities like his drama and concert. But he immediately agreed to do the show when we said, ‘We’re going out to sea to catch fish.'”

Yook Sungjae’s love for fishing seemed to radiate off of him as he said, “My maternal grandfather was the first person in Korea to breed carp. Ever since I was little, I had a close relationship with fish. I can even communicate with them using ultrasound.”

“Fishing-dol” Yook Sungjae will take on a 12-hour challenge of catching skate, and his journey will be detailed in the upcoming show, “Clench Your Fist and Blow The Boat Horn.”
