tvN's Upcoming Drama Starring Nam Joo Hyuk, Shin Se Kyung, And More To Start Filming Next Week
tvN’s new drama “Bride of the Water God” (tentative title) will finally begin shooting next week.
On March 14, tvN revealed, “Nam Joo Hyuk, Shin Se Kyung, Gong Myung, and f(x)’s Krystal have been confirmed for ‘Bride of the Water God.‘ There will be a script reading on March 16, and the shoot will start on March 22.”
“The Bride of the Water God” is based on a Korean manhwa of the same title that tells the story of Soah, a girl who is offered up as a sacrifice to the water god after her village suffers from prolonged draught. The drama will tell the original story with a modern twist.
Nam Joo Hyuk will play Habaek, the water god, while Shin Se Kyung will play Soah. Gong Myung will play Biryeom, the wind god, while Krystal will play Hera.
Meanwhile, “Bride of the Water God” also boasts a star-studded production team, including writer Jung Yoon Jung from “Incomplete Life” and producer Kim Byung Soo from “Nine: 9 Times Time Travel.” The drama will most likely air in the second half of the year.
