Jung Joon Il Shares The Story Of How He Responded To The "Goblin" OST Offer

On March 18, Jung Joon Il made an appearance on KBS’s “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook” and talked about his now-beloved “Goblin” OST, “The First Snow.”

Jung Joon Il said, “It was my first OST offer and I didn’t think it was my place to do something like that so I kept running away and refusing. But I eventually recorded it and it started playing when Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun walk down the snowy road and I thought to myself, ‘This is it!'”

He also picked “The First Snow” as one of his top three songs, which also included “Confession” and “Hug Me.” “I only sang ‘Hug Me’ about two times before I went to the army but I’m amazed that it’s still getting a lot of love even now.”

He continued, “I saw Yook Sungjae singing it on another show and it made Red Velvet’s Joy tear up,” referring to the two idols’ final episode on “We Got Married.” Jung Joon Il added wittily, “When I saw that scene, I thought, ‘This is it!'”
