Sandara Park Shares Why Uhm Jung Hwa Is Her Ultimate Role Model

Sandara Park recently talked about her goals for the future.

During an interview for her upcoming film “One Step,” the singer-turned-actress talked about her new role as Hong Seol’s friend Jang Bora in the film “Cheese in the Trap.” According to the report, Sandara Park has worked hard to bring her character Jang Bora to life. Even during her audition, she surprised the production team by preparing a refreshing and straightforward way of speaking for the role. “Rather than creating something, I’d rather act in my own style as usual. The director requested that I do so.”

Sandara Park revealed that her ultimate goal is to be a versatile entertainer, and chose Uhm Jung Hwa as a role model. “I recently talked about it with Park Bom at the ‘One Step’ press screening. When Uhm Jung Hwa acts, people don’t think of her as a singer. On the flip side, it’s not awkward when she stands on the stage. It’s to the point where you don’t even think of her image as an actor. I also want to transform whenever I’m active in different fields.” She then stated that she wants to be a “little Uhm Jung Hwa.”

“Of course I don’t think I can do as much as Uhm Jung Hwa,” Sandara Park said. “But I want to follow in her footsteps. I want to work hard in a variety of different fields. I’m going to work hard so that it’s not awkward. Since I’ve already done acting and singing, the only thing that’s left is to be a radio DJ. I really want to take on that challenge one day.”

Meanwhile, Sandara Park’s upcoming film “One Step” is set to release on April 6.
