"Show Me the Money 6" Expects To Hold Most Auditions Ever, Including In New York City For 1st Time
The upcoming season of Mnet’s “Show Me the Money” is drawing more participants than ever before.
For “Show Me the Money 5,” approximately 9,000 people auditioned to have a chance to compete on the show. “Show Me the Money 6,” has over 12,000 people interested in auditioning for the show—the largest applicant pool the show has ever had.
As a result of the huge number of applicants, the first round of auditions in Korea are planned to take place over the course of two days. First round auditions are scheduled to take place on April 29-30 at Samsan World Gymnasium in Incheon.
This will also be the first time that auditions will be held in New York City. The format for the New York auditions will be the same as the first round auditions in Korea. New York auditions will take place on May 6 at Brooklyn Studios.
Last season, producers traveled to Los Angeles to hold auditions in the United States for the first time. Auditions will be held in Los Angeles for this season as well, on May 9 at LA Anderson Warehouse.
The producer line-up for “Show Me the Money 6” is also causing a great deal of anticipation. The producer teams are Jay Park and Dok2, Zico and Dean, Tiger JK and Bizzy, and Dynamic Duo. Mnet’s “Show Me the Money 6” is scheduled to air sometime midway through the year.
