JTBC Drama "Man To Man" Experiences Sharp Drop In Ratings
JTBC’s new drama “Man to Man,” starring Park Hae Jin and Park Sung Woong, experienced a sharp drop in ratings for its third episode.
“Man to Man,” a drama that tells the story of a talented and mysterious man who becomes a top star’s security guard, aired its first episode on April 21. At the time, it achieved the highest first episode ratings of any JTBC drama in history. The makers of the drama had promised that it will be a drama to match the success “Descendants of the Sun.”
However, Nielsen Korea, a ratings research company, revealed that the April 29 broadcast of the drama only recorded a 2.5 percent rating. This is 1.6 percent decline from the ratings of the second episode (4.1 percent).
While the third episode of “Man to Man” took an exciting narrative turn, it appears that the drama has not quite captured the hearts of viewers yet.
Meanwhile, its competitors in the same time slot saw improvements in their own viewership ratings. MBC’s “I Live Alone” recorded 7 percent, while KBS 2TV’s “Sister’s Slam Dunk Season 2” recorded 3.8 percent. SBS’s “Three Great Emperors” and KBS 1TV’s “Concert 7080” recorded 3.6 percent and 3.1 percent respectively.
