Highlight's Yang Yoseob Reunites With 'The Voice Kids' Contestants For The First Time In 5 Years

Highlight’s Yang Yoseob got the surprise of his life when he was greeted by a pair of kids he’d met five years ago.

Highlight appeared on Mnet’s “I Can See Your Voice 4” on May 4 to weed out the singers from those who were lip-syncing. A pair of contestants, Jung Sa Kang and Lee Eun Sung, caught everyone’s attention as they appeared with wigs covering most of their head.

The duo sang a rendition of Yang Yoseob’s “Caffeine,” and their soft voices and cute performance surprised everyone. While everyone was still confused about whether the duo was the real deal, Yang Yoseob recognized one of the singers as Jung Sa Kang, and shouted his name out in surprise.

Both contestants had also appeared on Mnet’s “The Voice Kids” five years ago, and Yang Yoseob had been on the panel of judges at the time. Jung Sa Kang had even been on Yang Yoseob’s team during the show, and the idol couldn’t hold back his happiness at reuniting with his pupil.

Thanks to Yang Yoseob’s good memory, Highlight was able to succeed in finding the real singers, performing their hit track “Plz Don’t Be Sad” with the duo as the finale of the show.

Jung Sa Kang and Lee Eun Sung are members of The East Light, who released their first single “Holla” in November 2016. The group will be making a comeback on May 18 with their second single.
