"Whisper" Comes To An End And Scores Drama's Highest Viewership Ratings
“Whisper” ended with a bang!
According to Nielsen Korea, the last episode of “Whisper,” which aired on May 23, recorded 20.3 percent viewer ratings nationwide. This figure is 1.1 percent higher than that of the penultimate episode, which had set the previous record for the drama’s ratings.
“Whisper” took first place in the Monday-Tuesday time slot while its competing dramas trailed behind with a huge gap in between. Newly starting Monday-Tuesday drama, MBC’s “Lookout,” gathered average ratings of 4.7 percent, and another one, KBS’s “Fight My Way,” reached 6 percent ratings. For first episode ratings, “Lookout” was ahead of “Fight My Way,” but their positions changed for the second episodes.

On the last episode of “Whisper,” Lee Dong Joon (Lee Sang Yoon) and Shin Young Joo (Lee Bo Young) served justice to those who deserved it.
Kang Jung Il (Kwon Yool) received a sentence of 10 years in prison, Choi Il Hwan life imprisonmnet, Choi Soo Yeon (Park Se Young) seven years in prison, Song Tae Gon two years in prison, and Lee Dong Joon four years in prison and disbarment.
Three years passed, and Shin Young Joo made it through the bar examinations. Her love interest Lee Dong Joon was released from prison, allowing the two to reunite. Also, the association of journalists created an award to honor Shin Chang Ho (Kang Shin Il), and Lee Ho Bum (Kim Chang Wan) was admitted into a nursing home after developing Alzheimer’s disease.
