"Produce 101 Season 2" Addresses Whether Voting Format For Third Elimination Will Change

Will “Produce 101 Season 2” follow in the footsteps once again of the first season?

On May 24, a source from the show explained that they were still discussing if the number of people viewers can vote for on the website will change.

Last year, during the first season of “Produce 101” viewers could vote for 11 people up until the second elimination happened. Afterwards, viewers could only vote for one person, which would determine who would be eliminated during the third round.

Following a similar format, viewers have been able to vote for 11 people this season. However, the results of the second elimination of “Produce 101 Season 2” is set to air this upcoming May 26, after which the next round of voting will begin.

The source explained, “We are currently exploring all possibilities regarding whether the number of people that viewers can vote for in the third round will be lessened from 11 to one. [Our decision] will be revealed during the [May 26] broadcast.

Meanwhile, the position-based challenge recently wrapped up on “Produce 101 Season 2,” and the top trainee in each of the three categories has been revealed.
