EXO-CBX's Japanese Debut Album Sees Impressive Number Of First Day Sales + High Ranking On Charts
EXO-CBX’s first Japanese release is out and it’s already receiving lots of love!
Their mini album “GIRLS” was officially released on May 24, and sold a noteworthy 26,541 physical copies on just the first day alone, and placed them second on Oricon’s daily album chart. It continued to be second place on on the daily album chart for May 25, with 22,248 copies sold.
In addition to title track “Ka-CHING!,” the album includes a Japanese version of their Korean debut title “Hey Mama,” and five entirely new songs that showcase EXO-CBX’s own color. The Japanese media reported, “A slight contrast to EXO’s unique sound, [EXO-CBX’s] diversified pop sound is well-loved.”
The unit has already performed their title track a few times ahead of the album’s release, and also have been featured in several magazine spreads where they revealed more about themselves through fun interviews. They will be holding a free showcase at the beginning of June as well.
