“Sweet Lies” is a song about wanting to hear sweet things from one’s love interest even if they’re just empty words, while at the same time hating that all one can do is hope for those words to be true. Baek A Yeon’s previous hit songs “Shouldn’t Have…” and “So So” were popular for their relatable lyrics, and “Bittersweet” seems like another track many people will identify with.
