"Produce 101 Season 2" Responds To Rumors Of 300 Million Won Penalty Fee For Trainees Who Reveal Spoilers
“Produce 101 Season 2” has cleared up rumors about an alleged exorbitant fee of 300 million won (approximately $267,000) for spoiling details from the show.
On May 29, a source from “Produce 101 Season 2” stated, “It is not true that there is a 300 million won penalty fee in the case of spoilers.”
The rumor appears to have been started after trainee Lee In Soo (who was eliminated in the latest episode) talked during a live broadcast on AfreecaTV about his experiences on the show, and reportedly mentioned the fee.
“Produce 101 Season 2” most recently aired the results of its second elimination round, in which the number of trainees was cut down to 35 based on viewer votes. The remaining trainees have been put in teams to perform original songs for their next evaluation mission. “Produce 101 Season 2” airs every Friday at 11 p.m. KST on Mnet.
