"Queen For 7 Days" Provides Quality Romance Despite Slow Start In Ratings

KBS 2TV’s passionate melodrama “Queen For 7 Days” has finally premiered!

On June 1, according to the results from Nielsen Korea, the drama brought in 6.9 percent ratings for its first episode.

“Queen For 7 Days” is a traditional drama starring Park Min Young, Yeon Woo Jin, and Lee Dong Gun, and imaginatively interprets half-brothers Yeon San Gun and Joong Jong as romantic rivals. The drama specifically focuses on the story of Queen Dan Kyung, who was historically dethroned after only seven days.

The first episode primarily focused on their characters’ childhood, and while the drama promises a passionate romance, the episode also featured cute and adorable moments between Yeon Woo Jin’s and Park Min Young’s child actors.

Meanwhile, MBC’s “Ruler: Master of the Mask” brought in 11.7 percent and 13.6 percent ratings for its 13 and 14 episode, respectively. SBS’s “Suspicious Partner” brought in 7.5 percent and 13.6 percent ratings for its respective 13 and 14 episodes.
