Super Junior M

One of several subunits of the boy band Super Junior, SJ-M focuses entirely on the Chinese market. The eight, used to be seven, member boy band consists of six members of Super Junior, as well as two new Chinese members.

TVXQ

Five-member boy band under SM Entertainment, meaning “Rising Gods of the East”. Also known as DBSK, DBSG, TVXQ, or Tohoshinki. In 2009, three of the members sued SM; DBSK has suspended activities as a group indefinitely but continue to support each other in pursuing solo careers.

Jewelry

Currently a three-member girl group under Star Empire Entertainment. Formed in 2001, it is the longest-running girl group still active, although none of the original members are still with the group.

T-ara

Seven-member girl group under Core Contents Media. They debuted in 2009 and their first hit song was “Bo Peep Bo Peep”

Davichi

Female duo group made up of Lee Hae-ri and Kang Min-kyung from Core Contents Media. Debuting in 2008, they won various new artist awards, and released a mini-album in March 2009, with the lead single “8282” fast becoming a chart-topper.
