Kim Jung Hoon to Host a Music Program in Japan

Actor Kim Jung Hoon, currently starring in tVN’s “I Need Romance,” is taking on MC duties for Japan’s music program “Gaon Monthly Countdown,” local media reported.  Kim had prior experience in introducing Japanese music programs.  He had previously been enlisted to host M-Net Japan’s “M-Studio.” 

“Gaon Monthly Countdown” will feature chart topping hits.  With Korean groups making waves in Japan, Kim Jung Hoon, a musician himself, was recruited for this production.  Although now more popular as an actor, Kim debuted as a singer in 2000 as a member of the duo UN.  He kept his singing career active by contributing to a soundtrack and single releases before his mandatory military service.  He was discharged from the military in early 2011.

“Gaon Monthly Countdown” premieres on Fuji TV on August 2^nd.
