"The Moon that Embraces the Sun" Sees Ratings Dip

After a week of absence, it seems that MBC’s “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” failed to regain its glory in its ever-increasing ratings. The ratings for the nineteenth episode saw a slight dip, dropping to 38.7% (AGB Nielsesn), a 2.5% decrease from the eighteenth episode.

Before Director Kim Do Hoon joined the ongoing strike at MBC, “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” was on its way to becoming this year’s “national drama” with a high rating of 41.2%. However, yesterday’s episode could not surpass the 40% barrier; and with only one more episode to go, many fans and netizens are curious to see whether the finale will be able to break 40%.

Meanwhile, KBS’s “Sungkyunkwan Scandal TV Movie” episodes one and two recorded 2.3% and 3.6% respectively, while SBS’s “Salaryman Chohanji Special” recorded 5.9%. MBC will air the final episode of “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” tonight, March 15, at 9:55PM KST. Check out the video preview with subs here!
