"The Moon that Embraces the Sun’s” Live Ratings Hit Personal High with Jung Il Woo’s Appearance
MBC aired its sixth episode of hit series “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” last night, finally featuring its adult cast. The drama has been off to a great start, rewriting personal bests [ratings] with every new episode.
The live ratings hit the drama’s peak yesterday when Jung Il Woo made his grand appearance as Prince Yang Myung in the second half of the episode. According to AGB Nielsen, live ratings went up to 31.55% when Jung Il Woo entered the scene. Netizens who saw the episode commented, “Even after playing a contemporary character recently, he’s made a smooth transition into his historical character,” “I’m falling for Prince Yang Myung more and more by the day,” and “Jung Il Woo is such a great actor.”
Meanwhile, “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” achieved 29.3% (AGB Nielsen) viewership ratings last night, a 4.4% increase from the night before. SBS “Please Take Care of Us, Captain” and KBS “Wild Romance” recorded 9.4% and 6.4% respectively.
